Plastic Soldier Company BGK034 BATTLEGROUP OVERLORD - D-DAY
Operation Overlord, more commonly known as D-Day, was the Allied invasion of Nazi-occupied Western Europe, launched on June 6, 1944. This massive military operation marked the beginning of the end of World War II in Europe. The invasion was meticulously planned and involved the coordinated efforts of American, British, Canadian, and other Allied forces. It began with the largest amphibious assault in history, as over 156,000 troops landed on five beaches along the Normandy coast of France—codenamed Utah, Omaha, Gold, Juno, and Sword.
