Conquest, City States - Selinoi ("Sell-in-ee") (PBCS106)
Nowhere in City State society is their ambivalent relationship with the Bred more evident than with the Selinoi.
An almost perfect blend of man and goat, the Selinoi proved to be the hardiest and most adaptable of the surviving Brazilians. Intelligent, fast and robust, they quickly excelled at their tasks, which put them at odds with humans and left a mark on their backs when the purge began in autumn. Today, the Selinoï who have survived have done so by learning to coexist with humanity or avoiding it as much as possible.
Selinoï hunters avoid the crowded streets of city-states, preferring to roam the deep forests and wild lands that invariably form around city-states. Their skills as hunters and lumberjacks make them invaluable scouts for city-states. Their presence is tolerated and sometimes even encouraged, if only to ensure the presence of these skilled scouts among the city's forces.
