Franco-Prussian War

The Franco-Prussian War was a war between 19 July 1870 and 10 May 1871 between the Second French Empire (and after the fall of the regime, by the Third French Republic) and the Kingdom of Prussia (and later, the German Empire), with the support of the North German Confederation and the allied kingdoms of Baden, Bavaria and Württemberg. 

The conflict marked the outbreak of tension between the two powers, which escalated after the failure of Napoleon III’s project to annex Luxembourg although the attempted annexation was peacefully settled with the Treaty of London (1867), was an event that caused the end of a relatively balanced relationship with Prussia by Otto von Bismarck.

Korean

The Korean army faced the Japanese invasion during the Imjin War in 1592-1598 when Toyotomi Ideyoshi requested passage through Korea to invade China. Korea refused as it was fenced off and with the support of the Chinese army managed to contain the invasion that ended in 1598 after Ideyoshi’s death.
