NHL PLAQUE W/CARD 4X6 PENGUINS MARIO LEMIEUX

Mario Lemieux, born on October 5, 1965, in Montreal, Quebec, is one of the greatest ice hockey players in history. Known for his exceptional skill, size, and scoring ability, Lemieux played his entire NHL career with the Pittsburgh Penguins. He was selected first overall in the 1984 NHL Entry Draft and quickly became a dominant force in the league.

Lemieux led the Penguins to two consecutive Stanley Cup championships in 1991 and 1992. He won numerous individual awards, including the Hart Trophy as the league's MVP, the Art Ross Trophy as the top scorer, and the Conn Smythe Trophy as the playoff MVP. Despite battling serious health issues, including Hodgkin's lymphoma, Lemieux's determination and talent allowed him to achieve remarkable success on the ice.

After retiring, he became the owner of the Penguins and played a crucial role in the team's resurgence, including their Stanley Cup victories in 2009, 2016, and 2017. Lemieux's legacy extends beyond his playing career, as he is celebrated for his contributions to the sport and his philanthropic efforts.
