Hail Caesar Arthurian Romano-British Unarmoured Cavalry
The Romano-British cavalry played a significant role during the late Roman period in Britain, roughly from the 4th to the early 5th centuries. This cavalry was part of the defensive strategy against various threats, including Pictish and Saxon invaders. They were equipped with a mix of Roman and local armor and weapons, including helmets, chainmail or scale armor, spears, and swords. The cavalry units were often stationed in forts along Hadrian's Wall and other strategic locations. They were highly mobile, allowing for rapid responses to threats and for reinforcing infantry units as needed. The decline of Roman authority in Britain led to these cavalry units becoming integral in the defense of the remaining Romano-British territories.
Having no armour allows these mounted troops to react quicker making them the ideal skirmish unit. But ensure they don't stick around in combat for too long as the lack armour will eventually be their downfall.
