Tamiya TAM14070 HONDA CBR 1100XX "SUPER BLACKBIRD" (1/12)
The Honda CBR 1100XX is a Japanese sport-touring motorcycle that was presented to the public for the first time in 1996. The same year also saw the start of serial production, which lasted until 2006.
The CBR 1100XX model was developed in order to fight the market battle with the Kawasaki ZZR-1100 motorcycle. During its construction, one goal was set - achieving the highest possible maximum speed. For this purpose, a 164 HP in-line 4-cylinder engine was used (later limited to 152 HP). The aerodynamics of the motorcycle were also refined as much as possible and efforts were made to develop a compact, durable, but also light structure.
Ultimately, the Honda Motor Company managed to create one of the best in its class at the turn of the 20th and 21st centuries, which was able to accelerate to 285 km / h! The motorcycle is also valued to date for its extensive standard equipment, high ride comfort and great traction - especially when cornering.
