Diving Deeper Into The Rift

Paradox Rift unveils the enigmatic Paradox Pokémon, a lineage that until now, exclusively graced the realms of the Scarlet & Violet and Obsidian Flames expansions. The curtain was raised on this set's secrets on August 11, 2023, when the Canadian Pokémon Center website fleetingly showcased an Elite Trainer Box, featuring none other than the illustrious Iron Valiant. A deeper dive into the set transpired during the concluding spectacle of the 2023 Pokémon World Championships on August 13, 2023.

Within the tapestry of Paradox Rift, emerge two novel manifestations of cards: Ancient and Future, both manifesting as Pokémon and Trainer cards. Each variant bears distinct text icons adorning the upper right corner of their canvases and is framed by unique backgrounds. Ancient cards boast stratified strata backdrops, while Future cards are enveloped in pixelated futurism. The Ancient Pokémon cards lean towards robust direct attacks that bestow substantial damage while defying easy elimination. On the other hand, the Future Pokémon cards unfold with a tapestry of Abilities and attacks replete with supplementary effects, paving the way for cunningly devised strategies.
