NAM Mekong River Mat
The Brown Water Navy would find it rather difficult to conduct its mission without a river to battle over! A large river has always been a difficult obstacle to riverine wargaming. Building a table can be time consuming, and modular rivers can sometimes be messy or not fit on the table correctly. So we went back to the drawing board and designed the Mekong River Mat set to give you a great range of battlefield flexibility.
The game mats are printed on durable vinyl, which sits perfectly flat on the table, providing a smooth, gaming surface instantly. The unique properties of the mats let you mark the surface with wet-erase markers without damaging the printed image. These tough mats will give you years of hassle-free gaming.
The Mekong River Mat set is designed to give you an ever-changing wargame landscape. It comes with three 2’x4’ (60cm x 12cm) panels, so lining them all up next to each other will give you a full 6’x4’ table. Each small panel can be re-arranged in a number of ways to provide you with several different configurations.
Building a river table is not as challenging as you might expect. With the new Mekong RIver Mat Set (below), the hardest part is done. You don’t have to sculpt your river or anything. All you need to do is add plenty of Paddy Fields (BB170), Village Huts (BB169), and some vegetation along the riverbanks. A few simple docks, foot bridges and other small pieces will round out the battlefield. You are now ready for action on the river Mekong!
