A shortened variant of the acclaimed Sd.Kfz 251 Hanomag series, this versatile vehicle featured a number of specialized configurations to fulfill various roles on the battlefield. From the cable carrier to the ammunition carrier to the radio equipment carrier, the Sd.Kfz 250/1 proved its adaptability again and again.
This half-track had seating for six people, including the driver and passenger, and was armed with two pivot-mounted MG34 machine guns. With one gun facing forward and the other facing rearward and up in the air, the Sd.Kfz 250/1 was a force to be reckoned with.
The model included in this exceptional set pays homage to the original "old" version, faithfully reproducing its use in World War II. Despite the introduction of the "new" version from late 1943, the "old" variant remained an unwavering presence throughout the war, standing for resilience and unwavering performance.
