The Toyota concern also wanted to present a new car in the lower-middle and middle class and to take advantage of possible turbulences related to the new legislation on the domestic market. The model turned out to be successful and was delivered to nine generations, which were mostly powered by cylinder engines with a capacity of 2.0 to 2.5 liters.
